Acreditation for the teacher-training program “Learning Through Experience”

October 17, 2022

After a 1-year period of designing the module on the methodology of learning through experience, the Institute for Research and Development in Education (IZHHA), within the Faculty of Education in cooperation with TOKA, has been accredited to train pre-university level teachers on this training program for 3 years. In addition to the materials and other aids that will be accepted as part of the training program, the teachers will also have direct support from the TOKA staff and the professors of the Faculty of Education, during the period of implementation of the new methodology in their classes.

Also, with the accreditation of the “Learning through Experience” training program, all teachers participating in this training will also receive valid points for their licensing and relicensing.

“Besides that the training is valuable for the process of licensing and relicensing of teachers, the training program will give us effective tools that will result in better outcomes for all the students of the participating schools” – said one of the teachers participating in the program “Learning Through Experience”.

A few weeks earlier, the training on the methodology of “Learning Through Experience” was organized for nearly 40 teachers of grades 1-9, who were chosen among the 500 teachers who had applied for training. The methodology of “Learning Through Experience” is aimed at raising the capacities of primary school teachers on the use of efficient teaching methodologies and improving the learning process.

“The accreditation of this training program shows the importance it has in raising the capacities of pre-university level teachers on the use of efficient teaching methodologies and improving the learning process. We are happy that our partnership with IHZHA and the Faculty of Education, University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” continues to bring opportunities for pre-university level teachers in all municipalities of Kosovo.” – said Rreze Hoxha, leader of the Institutionalism Program at TOKA, of which this project is also a part.

The Institutionalization Program of TOKA, during almost 3 years in partnership with the Faculty of Education, has developed numerous projects on this training program, which to date have been followed by over 100 teachers. The success of the modules developed by this training program has resulted in over 80% satisfaction from students and teachers who have practiced this methodology in their classes.

This project is supported by the European Union Office in Kosovo.
