December 6, 2021

During the conference, in a formal ceremony will be awarded the “Regional Service-Learning Award” in which a total of 36 projects compete. The countries competing for this award are: Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia.

The Regional Service-Learning Award is being held for the second time and aims to recognize and appreciate the work of teachers for volunteer projects which they have implemented with their students, through which they have had a positive impact on the community where they are realized.

During the Ceremony of Regional Service Learning Award, schools, whose projects have been considered very good but have not managed to receive any award, will be recognized through mentions. Schools which have implemented very good service-learning projects will be awarded with the first three places, which correspond to monetary values of:

$1,000 – First Place

$750 – Second Place

$500 – Third Place

The funds won from this regional competition will be used to further develop Service Learning projects in the respective schools or communities.

Competitive projects from 6 different countries have passed three levels of evaluation, two of which have been completed at the national level while the evaluation of projects at the third level has been done by an international jury, which is composed of educational professionals from around the world.

Kosovo, last year in this regional competition took third place with the school Zenit from Prugovc in Pristina.

This project is supported by the European Union Office in Kosovo, through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights EIDHR.
