CALL FOR REGIONAL SERVICE-LEARNING AWARD 2023 IS OPEN!

WHAT IS THE REGIONAL SERVICE-LEARNING AWARD?

Regional Service Learning Award (RSLA) aims to recognize and appreciate the work of educational institutions, organizations and non-formal groups who works with youth that are developing voluntary projects and activities with educational elements. Specifically, the Award:

  • Recognizes teachers involved in projects that encourage students to engage in active citizenship;
  • Recognizes youth and representatives of organizations, non-formal groups that have encourage youth to engage in active citizenship;
  • Provides recognition of educational institutions, organizations and non-formal groups that better integrate students’ curricular learning with service actions aimed at improving the quality of life of their communities;
  • Provides technical support for applicants;
  • Collects voluntary practices that affect student and community development in general;
  • Promotes a culture based on civic engagement.

WHO CAN APPLY?

This year RSLA 2023 is open for two categories: 

  • Schools
  • Organizations and non-formal groups who work with youth.

Required conditions are:

  1. Open to all schools (private or public) that have involved students in volunteer projects in the following countries Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Romania, or Slovakia;
  2. Open to all organizations or non-formal groups that develop voluntary projects involving students;
  3. Projects or activities must be implemented during the school year September 2022- June 2023.

WHY APPLY?

In addition to the promotion, your school, your organization or your non-formal group will receive for your innovative work, and the prestige of becoming part of an international network of distinguished schools, organization, non-formal group there is also a financial prize or recognition for the three top projects in two categories. 

PRIZES

School Category

First Prize – 500 EURO

Second Prize – Mug and certificate mentioning 2nd place

Third Prize – Certificate mentioning the 3rd place

Organization/Non-formal Group Category: 

First Prize – 500 EURO

Second Prize – Mug and certificate mentioning 2nd place

Third Prize – Certificate mentioning 3rd place.

Also, each participating country will award recognition to the semifinalists in the form of a Certificate of Appreciation, stamped and signed by partners of the CSEE SL Network.

The funds from 1st places should be used to further develop Service Learning in your communities. 

HOW TO APPLY?

Each country have an NGO which is delivering the Regional Service-Learning Award. If you are from: 

To apply, you have to follow these general steps which applies for each country: 

  1. Go to the website of NGO from your country.
  2. Before you fill out the Application Form, make sure to read Terms and Conditions for the category that you want to apply. 
  3. Complete online Application Form. You can find Application Form in your language at the website of the NGO from your country.
  4. Attach testimonials and supporting materials related to the project that you are applying such as photos, videos, brochures, etc.
