Twelve civil society organisations that work in the field of pre-university education in Kosova, founded the informal coalition called the “Umbrella Network of Civil Society Organisations for Pre-University Education”. This coalition is based on the founding organizations’ principles of improving the quality and the advancement of education, wider inclusion and the genera well-being of students.
Given the importance of pre-university education in forming a country’s human capital and the essential role of civil society to contribute to this framework, representatives of the twelve CSOs signed the official Act of Establishing the network. The founding organizations include: the Centre for Education of Kosovo (KEC), ETEA, the Kosovo Centre for Distance Learning (KCDE), Kosovo Youth Council (KYC), Network of Peer Educators (PEN), Kosovo Centre for Gender Studies (QKSGJ), Centre for Psycho-Social and Medical Research (QHPSM), Centre for Advanced Studies (FIT), SOS Children’s Villages (SOS), Teach for Kosovo (TfK), TOKA and Voice of Roma, Ashkalive and Egyptians (VoRAE) organisation.
One of the first actions that the Network will undertake is to set up the “Education Podcast Society”, a series of discussions with experts/guests on the most relevant topics of pre-university education. The Network plans to publish its full list of activities very soon.
