Fraction Ball pilot is successfully completed

March 18, 2022

In collaboration with the University of California Irvine and the Faculty of Education at the University of Prishtina, TOKA has started the “Fraction Ball” Pilot Project Implementation. The  “Fraction Ball” Pilot Project is an innovative approach towards the math subject focusing on teaching fractions and decimals through the game of basketball. During the Pilot, the participating 4th and 5th grade teachers from “Faik Konica” primary school in Prishtina, were trained on how to use an alternative curriculum to teach their pupils fractions while using the game of basketball. On the other hand, the pupils had the opportunity to learn fractions using this alternative method.

We now await the pre and post measurements project results, so we can measure the project impact on the participating pupils. The findings will be shared publicly!

This project is supported by the European Union office.
