Nominations for the 2026 Volunteerism of the Year Awards are now open!

In Kosovo there are many changemakers who see improving the community as a personal responsibility, so we believe that everyone’s contribution should be valued and rewarded, especially when it comes in the form of volunteer work.

After two successful editions that have brought dozens of inspiring stories to attention and mobilized broad support from institutions, organizations, and various partners, this year we are continuing, for the third time, the campaign and awards ceremony for the 2026 Volunteerism of the Year Awards, with the same goal: recognizing, promoting, and expanding participation in volunteerism in Kosovo.

This campaign includes youth, individuals, businesses, diaspora representatives, and public figures who contribute to the community in various ways, with a particular focus on contribution through volunteer work.

In this edition, 7 awards will be given out, divided into 2 categories:

Category A – YOUTH, has these awards for 3 young people:

1. Volunteer of the Year
2. Most Courageous Volunteer of the Year
3. Rising Volunteer of the Year

Who can be nominated (Category A)?

• For awards 1–2, individuals aged 15–29 may be nominated;
• For award 3, individuals aged 15–18 may be nominated.

Category B – SUPPORTERS OF VOLUNTEERISM, has these awards for the following stakeholders:

1. Most Supportive Business of the Year – read the Terms and Conditions here, and submit your nomination HERE.
2. Most Supportive Diaspora Representative of the Year – read the Terms and Conditions here, and submit your nomination HERE.

3. Most Supportive Public Figure of the Year – read the Terms and Conditions here, and submit your nomination HERE.
4. Volunteer with Lifetime Contribution of the Year – read the Terms and Conditions here, and submit your nomination HERE.

Who can be nominated (Category B)?

• For award 1, businesses registered and operating in Kosovo may be nominated;
• For award 2, diaspora representatives living in the diaspora may be nominated;
• For award 3, public figures who live and work in Kosovo and who are not associated with or involved in politics may be nominated;
• For award 4, individuals who live and work in Kosovo and who have contributed for a minimum of 10 years may be nominated.

*Note: only contributions made during the period May 2025 – July 2026 will be considered (except for the “Volunteer with Lifetime Contribution of the Year” award).

The deadline to submit nominations for all categories and awards is October 25, 2026, at 23:59.
