From measuring water use to conserving it

August 31, 2026

As part of the project supported by Fondation Akuo, TOKA organized a training session for leaders on the implementation and delivery of the second Water Module. The training aimed to strengthen the leaders’ knowledge and skills, preparing them to carry out activities with the Super-Volunteers in their clubs.

An important part of the training was the introduction and testing of the Water Calculator, an interactive tool designed to help young people better understand water consumption and the impact of everyday habits. The leaders learned how to use the calculator and integrate it into club meetings, enabling them to pass on the knowledge and experience gained to the Super-Volunteers.

Through practical activities and innovative tools, the project aims to raise young people’s awareness of the importance of water conservation and empower them to take action and advocate for its responsible use in their homes, schools, and communities.

As part of the project, water footprint measurements were carried out with young people from Super Volunteer clubs, which were summarized in a summary report. The report presents the results of the participants’ water footprint measurements. The data show the level and main ways of water consumption, highlighting the need for more careful use and continuous awareness of its conservation.
