Who are we?
Summer camps are our most popular activity! Up to now we have welcomed more than 2,000 participants worldwide in the 63 camps we have implemented since 2016.
We are TOKA, an NGO based in Kosova. We work in youth empowerment through education, offering a diverse range of programs to our amazing youth. We have 10 years of experience in summer camps and our mission for the International Peacebuilding Camp is to give you the opportunity to explore peace, dialogue, writting, storytelling, different cultures, and help you create a bunch of new friendships you’ll cherish forever.
The Peacebuilding Camp is an experience where young people from Iowa, US, Arab and Jewish youth from Israel, Serbians and Albanians from Kosovo will come together to explore dialogue, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment.
The camp program is designed and will be facilitated by Professor Steven Aiello from Debate for Peace, in collaboration with the TOKA team. Together, they bring care, enthusiasm, and a deep commitment to creating a meaningful and empowering experience for every participant.
With around 40 participants from different backgrounds, you’ll have the chance to build lasting friendships, challenge your perspectives, and make memories that cross borders.
We are looking for 15 – 18 years old, passionate about meeting new people, and curious to explore different cultures while learning how to build peace in your community and beyond.
Then this summer, the International Peacebuilding Camp is the place to be!
We are excited to open the call for participants for the International Peacebuilding Camp 2025, taking place from July 22–29 at the Loyola Gymnasium Campus in Prizren. The camp will be conducted entirely in English, so all participants should be fluent and feel comfortable communicating in English.
A symbolic camp fee of 100 euros will be applied, while scholarships will be available for disadvantaged youth to ensure inclusive participation.
However, this is not the end – after the camp, there is an additional optional activity.
Debate for Peace, under the lead of Professor Steven Aiello, will organize the Kosovo International Model UN (KIMUN), which will be held from July 29 – 30th in Prishtina. The conference hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For those not familiar with MUN, you can find a description HERE.
KIMUN III will include three committees: a beginners EU committee discussing expansion of the European Union, an intermediate level Davos Economic Forum discussing Global Trade Wars, and an advanced crisis committee simulating the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
Participants who attend all sessions will receive a certificate of participation, and each committee will have separate awards for the top delegates.
To join this unforgettable summer experience, fill out the application form below. The number of spots is limited, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible!
