Active Citizenship IMPACT Curriculum – Mental Health and Wellbeing Edition

December 19, 2025

The IMPACT Curriculum is an educational program used by teachers, facilitators, and leaders of Educational Volunteering and IMPACT Clubs to empower young people through active citizenship, with a strong focus on mental health and well-being. It is part of the international IMPACT program and was developed within the framework of the project “Developing Minds, Empowering Lives (EMEL)”, with the support of the European Union.

The curriculum provides educators with a practical tool that supports the development of young people’s life skills, empathy, and civic engagement, directly contributing to their well-being and that of their communities. It is implemented through Educational Volunteering and IMPACT Clubs and is designed for young people aged 11–18. Through 27 interactive sessions, participants explore topics such as mental health, emotions, stress, healthy relationships, and community engagement.

The program combines non-formal education, reflective discussions, educational games, and Educational Volunteering (Service-Learning) projects, giving young people the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-life initiatives that enhance well-being within their communities.
