Debate Clubs Present Recommendation Documents to Municipal Officials!

November 1, 2023

Participants from Debate Clubs have initiated their cycle of weekly meetings by exploring the community and interviewing citizens. As a result, they gathered impressions and feedback from the community regarding their concerns related to the place they live.

With the aim of advocating to municipal leaders, these young individuals compiled a Recommendation Document in which they presented the community’s needs and concerns, along with proposed solutions to these issues. The participants sat in the seats of the municipal decision-makers, specifically at the Municipal Assembly, and presented these documents to the municipal leaders.

The youth from the 12 Clubs in the municipalities of Istog, Peja, Decan, Klina, Fushe Kosova, and Obiliq pledged to collaborate with the municipality in addressing these issues, whether through involvement in local governance or through solving them through the implementation of volunteer projects.

The Debate Clubs are part of the activities of the “Let’s Debate Change” project, supported by the Swiss organization Solidar Suisse Southeast Europe and implemented by TOKA.
