Service-Learning Curriculum for Teachers and Youth Workers

January 24, 2025

This Service-Learning Curriculum supports teachers, youth workers, and education professionals in implementing learning through engagement as a powerful approach for youth civic participation and community development. It is grounded in experiential learning “learning by doing” and connects education with real needs in the community.

Service-Learning enables children and young people to identify community challenges, take action, and reflect on their learning, while developing key competencies, attitudes, and a sense of active citizenship.

The curriculum was jointly developed by partner organizations across Europe to provide a comprehensive framework for understanding and implementing Service-Learning within the European educational ecosystem, encompassing formal, non-formal, and informal learning contexts.
