GJAKOVA’S PEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT RECEIVES A HELPING HAND BY THE SUPER-VOLUNTEERS!

March 17, 2019

After successfully completing TOKA’s Service Learning Program, more than 15 Super-Volunteers Clubs have been established all around Kosovo.

Through these Clubs, led by volunteering teachers or other adults (known as Super-Teachers and Super-Mentors), youth meet on weekly basis to develop new skills and improve the areas they live through community projects.

One of these Clubs is the Super-Volunteers Club <IDE> from the “Emin Duraku” school in Gjakova led by Arjeta and Vlora. They decided to help the staff and patients of Gjakova’s Public Hospital, namely it’s Pediatric Department.

As we were in the times of the flus and viruses, the volunteer club members, called the Super-Volunteers, organized a charity action in their school and donated hundreds of toys to the pediatric department in order to ease the hospitalized children’s stay.

This was <IDE>’s first community project, and we look forward to their next one!
