Diaspora in Solidarity: Solidarity Action Day with the Diaspora for the First Time in Kosova!

For the first time this year, the Solidarity Action Day with the Diaspora was launched, a new initiative aimed at strengthening the ties between Kosova and its diaspora, and promoting a shared commitment to the community.

On July 29, 2024, in collaboration with our partner organization GERMIN as part of the OriginAL program, 27 young people (aged 18-24) from the diaspora engaged in 12 businesses and raised a fund of 320 euros.

During the month of July, 8 new businesses joined in solidarity, while 4 others rejoined from previous Solidarity Action Day initiatives.

These funds will be used to support the Diaspora Volunteer of the Year Award – an initiative aimed at honoring and appreciating individuals from the diaspora who have contributed to the development and improvement of the community in Kosova, and inspiring others to do the same.

A special thanks goes to our partners at GERMIN, a well-known organization for its engagement with the diaspora, who made the successful realization of this day possible; and to the OriginAL volunteers, whose enthusiasm and dedication left their mark on the community.

Additionally, local businesses, by opening their doors to volunteers, continue to demonstrate their willingness to support initiatives that contribute to the community and foster positive connections with the diaspora.

The success of this activity will pave the way for future initiatives, where our diaspora will continue its engagement in making Kosova a better place.
