From Idea to Impact: How Super Volunteers Are Helping Protect Water Resources

Over the past few months, 6 Super Volunteer Clubs in Kosovo have been working hard to make a real difference in their communities – with the support of the AKUO Foundation!

Super Volunteers in 6 municipalities of Kosovo: Hani i Elezit, Gjakova, Podujeva, Suhareka, Ferizaj, and Kamenica, have become the voice for protecting one of our most precious resources: water.

Through awareness-raising and educational activities, they are learning more about the importance of water as a vital resource for Kosovo, ways to preserve water sources, and responsible water use in everyday life.

From Learning to Action
After an intensive phase of learning and exploring the topic during their weekly meetings, the Super Volunteers are now ready to take the next step: developing their own Service Learning projects!

Through these projects, they will share their knowledge with others in their communities – including peers, parents, local institutions, and citizens. The goal? To raise collective awareness and encourage concrete actions for water preservation.

The Super Volunteers are inspiring their peers to take responsibility for the environment and reminding all of us that change starts with small – but dedicated – actions.
