“Volunteerism of the Year” Campaign Now has Over 50 Supporters!

July 18, 2024

Kosovo is full of changemakers who see community improvement as a personal responsibility, and we believe that everyone’s contribution should be honored and rewarded – especially when all this dedication comes in the form of volunteer work.

For this reason, we are launching the first  annual campaign and event for the Volunteerism of the Year Awards with the aim of recognizing, promoting, and expanding participation in volunteering.

This campaign includes all youth, municipalities, schools, businesses, diaspora representatives, and public figures who contribute to the community in various ways, with a special focus on contributions through volunteer work.

Support so far: The campaign has already garnered public support from around 50 stakeholders, including:

  • Municipalities: Ferizaj, Istog, Han i Elezit, Podujeva, Peja, Suhareka, and Prizren.
  • Diplomatic representations in Kosovo: The British Embassy, US Embassy, Swedish Embassy and the Swiss Embassy.
  • International Organizations: Albinfo, American Advising Center, GAIA, Manchester Aid to Kosovo, Play International, YMCA Kosovo.
