Kosovo is full of changemakers who see community improvement as a personal responsibility, and we believe that everyone’s contribution should be honored and rewarded – especially when all this dedication comes in the form of volunteer work.
For this reason, we are launching the first annual campaign and event for the Volunteerism of the Year Awards with the aim of recognizing, promoting, and expanding participation in volunteering.
This campaign includes all youth, municipalities, schools, businesses, diaspora representatives, and public figures who contribute to the community in various ways, with a special focus on contributions through volunteer work.

The Volunteerism of the Year Awards are part of the environmental activities of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), through its Human Rightivism program implemented by the Community Development Fund – CDF; the European Union Office in Kosovo; “SMART Balkans” – “Civil Society for Shared Society in the Western Balkans” implemented by Centar za promociju civilnog društva (CPCD), Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM) and Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) and financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA) through their regional and institutional grants; and by the European Union through “Erasmus+” Program.
