This summer, 92 young people from around the world traveled to TOKA Camps, where through three camps, they took with them new memories and adventures. These camps focused on building new global friendships, cultural exchange, and making a positive impact on their communities.
International Adventure Camp: Connecting Cultures Across Continents
Over eight days, 40 young people from Israel, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and the USA gathered for an adventurous experience.
Local businesses and professionals visited the camp to share their knowledge and experiences. We thank the businesses:
A visit from businessman Krenar Batusha of Pro Real Estate was particularly motivating, as he shared valuable advice with campers based on his experience as the co-owner and founder of Pro Real Estate.
From learning each other’s languages to sharing cultural experiences, this camp proved that when young people come together, they can break down barriers and form lasting connections.
Leadership Camp: Youth in Solidarity
The Leadership Camp welcomed 24 young people from eight municipalities in Kosovo, who advanced their leadership skills over four days through fun activities.
These young leaders spent their days at camp preparing to co-lead change in their schools and communities through the upcoming Solidarity Action Day this fall.
This camp was a true springboard for empowering the next generation of young leaders.
European Solidarity Action Day Camp: Prizren is the Meeting point of European Volunteers!
This camp was co-led with the SAME Network of Organizations, bringing together 28 young people from seven countries – Albania, Kosovo, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, and North Macedonia – for seven days full of exchanges, experiences, and solidarity.
This was not just a camp – it was a platform for strengthening youth engagement in Solidarity Action Day in their respective countries.
As they discussed their communities and learned about Solidarity Action Day, these young activists also exchanged stories and experiences while celebrating the diverse cultures that made this camp so special.
TOKA camps are not just about fun – they are about empowering young people to lead, connect, and create real and lasting change in their communities and beyond.
The Summer Camps are supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), through its Human Rightivism Program implemented by the Community Development Fund – CDF; the European Union Office in Kosovo; “SMART Balkans – Civil Society for Shared Values in the Western Balkans” implemented by the Center for Civil Society Promotion (CPCD), Center for Research and Policy Making (CRPM), and Institute for Democracy and Mediation (IDM) through a regional and institutional grant, and financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NMFA). The camps are also supported by the SAME network of organizations and Schüler Helfen Leben, Johnston Rotary Club, as well as local businesses – Hallakate, Rilokimi, Pro Real Estate, Ujë Rugove, Trosha, OZON, Frutti, ENLIGHT, Albas, Basecode, EGI Group, Dukagjini, Bank for Business, FINCA Kosovo, and Kutia.
