New Horizons Foundation

New Horizons Foundation extends its activity in Romania and beyond. The mission of the foundation is to contribute to building a society where children and young people grow up in a supportive environment, where they can fully develop their potential and put it at the service of the development of the community and the world in which they live. The foundation believes in the transformative power of education through experience and in the ability of parents, educators and leaders in organizations and communities to support children and young people to become better, stronger and wiser.

In partnership with the New Horizons Foundation and the Institute of Psychology, University of Pristina, we are implementing the Engaged Minds, Empowered Lives (EMEL) project – a two-year EU-funded project (2025–2026). Its goal is to promote children’s mental health and civic engagement in Romania and Kosovo through the IMPACT service-learning model. The project will open 20 after-school clubs, train 40 educators, and empower over 300 children to design and lead community projects that raise awareness and foster positive mental health practices.
